  1. Thank you for this! I thought my Illustrator CS6 was a bad copy or something until I started Googling all the tiling issues. I’ll be sure to try this 🙂

    • I know! This is a perennial problem for those of us who make patterns in Illustrator. Glad it helped.

  2. Thank you Laura as you said is a perennial problem, I avoid patterns as much as I can. I will give this a try.

    • Hi Martinela,

Most of the time the problem only affects viewing the pattern in Illustrator and so when you print, the lines won’t be visible. It can be a real problem however for digital images, so I’ve found the steps in the video really take care of it. Hope it works for you!

  3. THANK YOU!! I have searched high and low for an answer to this problem.

  4. Yes! You just saved me so much time. This will now be my default for exporting. Thanks Laura! Shared it on my FB page.

  5. That was so obvious, yet non of us knew it would help! Is there a solution to alt key activating menu commands? I use alt key to zoom and scroll/pan inside documents all the time, and 50% of the cases it leaves the menus active.

  6. Fantastic!!! I kept struggling till I got routed to this post! Thanks a lot again. 🙂
