Happy September! I hope everyone is doing well. This is that time of year when things are moving full speed ahead. I’ll keep this edition of the newsletter short and sweet – so I can tell you about the changes happening with Train Simple.
As far as my site, illustratoring.com is concerned, everything is staying the same. And in my next newsletter, I’ll get back to focusing on Adobe Illustrator topics.
In the meantime, if you haven’t yet, check out my classes on illustratoring.com where you can jump in and start learning Illustrator right away. For access, use the subscriber’s password. If you are not a subscriber, just subscribe to our email list and we’ll send it to you right away!
train simple is now pluralsight
I’ve been an instructor at Train Simple since 2014, where I’ve created eight Illustrator classes with topics ranging from the Pen Tool to Graphic Styles. Over the summer, Pluralsight acquired Train Simple. Where Train Simple was a smaller, Adobe-focused training site, Pluralsight has a large library of courses for creative professionals, designers and animators, alongside an extensive library of programming and web technology classes. I’m looking forward to creating my first class for Pluralsight this fall, on the topic of 3D in Adobe Illustrator.
Here’s what to expect if you are a Train Simple subscriber:
Train Simple’s website will be closing in December. For month to month subscribers, you’ll be able to enjoy all the classes on the site for $15 per month through the end of November.
If you are an annual subscriber to Train Simple, your subscription will be honored at Pluralsight. Once Train Simple closes in December, you will only be able to access my classes via Pluralsight.
On this page, you can see the classes I currently have available on Pluralsight. There will be more of my Train Simple classes added in the future.
welcome to illustratoring!
You get to decide if the video classes are the ones you need. Once you decide, we ask that you make a contribution to keep the library open by making an annual donation, using our Pay What you Wish page. We suggest $12 a year, but we are appreciative of any and all donations! We think it’s a bargain for a resource you can revisit whenever you need to “brush up” on your Illustrator skills.
Thank you to all who have donated this year; it lets us know you value the class library, and we are so grateful for your support! Our subscribership is growing faster than ever, and with it comes more expenses, so we are appreciating your donations more than ever!
in other news…
John has been keeping the art inspiration flowing on our illustratoring Facebook page. Give illustratoring a thumbs up for a steady stream of interesting art projects, tutorials and illustratoring news.
And as always, thanks for your support!
